Royal Gorilla: A Legendary Strain Now at Royal Queen Seeds!
Royal Gorilla is undoubtedly one of the most talked about cannabis strains to come out of the US in a long time, and has quickly made a name for itself across the States as a connoisseur's favourite. However, their discovery was purely accidental. Two US breeders, Joesy Whales and Lone Watie, discovered the strain after Joesy's Chem Sis plants accidentally crossed paths and pollinated his Sour Dubb. We don't know exactly what prompted Lonie to save some of the seeds when Joesy discarded the strain, but we do know that he might later germinate them just out of curiosity, and what popped up was nothing short of spectacular Royal Gorilla!
The two passionate growers knew immediately that they had created something truly special and were blown away by the results of their first THC measurements. As if a staggering THC level of 24-26% wasn't insanely high enough, some of their phenos are said to have hit the scales at an incredible 30% - THC levels never before measured in any strain up to that point.
As for the name Gorilla Glue, official sources say that the name was chosen because of the strain's insane resin production, which caused the two breeders to become glued to everything after handling their new creation. But given the strain's super-relaxing effects, Royal Gorilla can also be a perfectly apt name to describe her deeply relaxing body stone that will 'glue' you to your couch, although her high also comes with an uplifting euphoria - as does hers effect incredibly balanced.
Royal Gorilla is not exactly a strain that one would choose for her yields, which are quite moderate in fact - the focus here is on the quality of the buds, not quantity. You can grow Royal Gorilla indoors or outdoors, where she will produce massive buds with gorgeous lime green leaves. Thanks to her heavy resin production, her leaves will be covered in an abundance of trichomes that will glitter beautifully in the sun!
A portion of Royal Gorilla has an average THC content of 24%-26%, but certain phenotypes have the ability to surpass this when cultivated expertly.
